Professional Welfare Committee

Overview

The scope of the Professional Welfare Committee encompasses all policies that support, encourage, define, and evaluate faculty and staff issues including recruitment and retention, rights and academic freedom; support programs; diversity; and programs that improve the quality of professional life. Also under the scope of the Professional Welfare Committee shall be policies pertaining to mentoring, sabbatical leave, continuing education and professional development, and monitoring of the post-tenure review procedures, as well as policies affecting the composition, procedures and practices of the IFAS Tenure, Permanent Status, and Promotion Committee.
